7:15 AM - Red Rocks Grill, Morrison

*Please note the earlier than usual departure time.

This ride is approximately 200 miles in length and will be entirely paved. All new (and “old”) riders are welcome!  The ride begins in  Morrison with a rider meeting and short 30-mile ride via Highway 285 to Pine Grove for its 36th Annual Rhubarb Festival pancake breakfast fundraiser. The festival is held in the center of town at the Pine Grove Fire Department where we will have breakfast with all the fixings including pancakes topped with rhubarb sauce.  Rhubarb pies and other goodies will be for sale for the fund-raiser. The breakfast is well worth the very reasonable price of admission.

After spending approximately an hour at the festival, the ride will resume by heading south from Pine to Woodland Park, then west on Highway 24. We will turn right on Tarryall Road (CO 77), taking it north for 41 miles, rejoining Highway 285 at Jefferson. We will eat lunch at Jefferson (you may want to pack a lunch as services in Jefferson vary). After lunch, each rider can decide whether to head further south to Fairplay and over Hoosier pass to Breckenridge, or head back to Denver via Highway 285 over Kenosha Pass and either take a left over Guenella pass to Georgetown and I-70 or stay on 285 back to Denver.   Another spectacular Colorado ride.
