This ride is full of twists and turns with multiple changes in elevation. I'm going to lead the ride at a pace that everyone in the group can keep up with. There will not be a second slower ride on Sunday that was previously mentioned. Basically, when you ride you don't loose sight of the person behind you.
This route is approximately 100 miles (2.5 hours at speed) and will depart Morrison at 9am heading West towards Evergreen and Buffalo Park Rd. We’ll climb to Snowshoe Rd before connecting to S. Brook Forest Rd which changes to Black Mountain Dr and then Shadow Mountain Dr. We’ll very briefly hop on Hwy-285 before heading up Kennedy Gulch Rd to Conifer Mountain Rd. We’ll pause halfway at the Kum & Go before hopping back on Hwy-285 to S. Elk Creek Rd and through boulder strewn Sphinx Park past the famous Bucksnort Saloon. We’ll then head out from the town of Pine towards Deckers but will quickly turn left on SW Platte River Rd towards Foxton. We’ll leave the river up Foxton Rd towards Running Deer Rd and Pleasant Park. We’ll finish near Chatfield Reservoir after riding down High Grade Rd and along W Deer Creek Canyon.
